Today, February 13 marks the anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations. This day serves as a solemn reminder to pause to remember, reflect, and honour the Stolen Generations – the children taken from their families, the parents who never stopped searching, and the communities that still feel the deep injustices of those policies.

While the National Apology is a crucial step, we acknowledge that the work is far from over.

“I have had the absolute honour of sitting alongside Stolen Generation survivors and their families, listening to their stories – stories of truth, stories of courage, stories of their visions for the future. I value each of those connections deeply.  At the heart of their stories is a profound commitment to healing and a future where our children and young people thrive. Their strength and generosity in sharing their experiences reinforce the responsibility we all share in truth-telling, deep understanding, and justice," said Lil Gordon
